Yesterday Chile’s Chase Hilgenbrinck left the Revolution, retired from professional soccer, and will enter a seminary, where he will spend the next six years studying theology and philosophy so he can be ordained as a Roman Catholic priest.

He’s been accepted at Mount St. Mary’s Seminary in Emmitsburg, Maryland, not all that far from where my parents live. I’m sure the local soccer fans will be happy about that.
