The United States and The Human Rights Council

Cooper wrote a post last week about the resolution passed by the U.N. Human Rights Council. The post titled “They’d Like To Teach The World To Sing In Perfect Harmony” reflects on the resolution passed largely by a membership of Arab and African nations, suggests ya gotta do what you gotta do and it’s OK to pass laws to restrict free speech in the case of Criticism religion.

The U.S. has decided to join the Human Rights Council and though I doubt the worth of any of these bodies I am glad to see the United States doing the responsible thing. Unlike the administration before them, who felt to quit and not bother was the best way to protest, this administration will let it’s voice be heard. There’s hope for it anyway.
